If you did not pass a portion
Not passing one portion is common, and you can retest. What matters most is your eligibility window and the topics your score report flags.

The steps

Read your diagnostic report
If you do not pass, PSI shows a diagnostic report of your strengths and weaknesses. You can print it from your PSI account.

Check your window
Eligibility lasts 1 year from Commission approval. Pass both portions within that year, or you will need to reapply before you can retest.

Rebook your appointment
You cannot book a new appointment on the same day you test. PSI lists separate fees for one portion and for both portions.

Study the weak topics
Spend most of your time on the topics your report flags, then take mixed practice sets to confirm the gains.

If your eligibility expires
Since 2024, you may reapply if your qualifying courses were completed within 3 years before applying for the exam. The limit was previously 5 years.
