Already licensed in another state?
Licensees from other states often skip the national portion. Georgia and North Carolina have their own reciprocity rules.
The steps

Active license elsewhere: state portion only
Associate and Broker applicants with an active license in another jurisdiction, or one expired no more than six months, take only the state exam.

Georgia reciprocity
Georgia applicants licensed by a written exam are exempt from pre-licensing education and do not take any South Carolina exams.

North Carolina reciprocity
North Carolina applicants take the South Carolina state exam. A provisional broker needs proof of 90 hours of North Carolina post-licensing or South Carolina pre-licensing education to apply as an associate.

Send your license history
Ask every jurisdiction where you have been licensed to send a certificate of licensure directly to the Commission.

Nonresident applicants also submit the Consent to Jurisdiction and Service of Process form.
